Founder of Clarity Coaching Institute, Kathryn is a published author, certified and highly skilled international facilitator, trainer, and award-winning coach, with over 14 years of service in this field.
I was five years old when my mother abandoned me. I didn’t know my father. For years I constructed the world to reflect one thing of which I was sure: there was certainly something about me that was completely unlovable. If anyone tried to convince me how much they loved me I could never buy it, so I left or messed up the relationship to match what I knew was more accurate. I was ‘damaged’ for sure, a restless soul; reaching for alcohol and drugs, searching and discarding religions madly, spending days at retreats, spending years in therapy- and while I did gain insights, I just couldn’t break through to any lasting clarity. At one point suicide seemed completely logical.
The world opened up for me when I was introduced to the Work in 1993. I learned to challenge deep confusion that I didn’t even know I had; to let it fall away and then notice how the world could actually become loving and kind. When I understood that I could enjoy even more freedom by helping others find theirs, facilitating the Work became my favorite, of many, pathways to joy.
I proudly became a Clarity Coach in 2010. I am thrilled to ask the questions that help open the door to loving what is, and humbled at how many times that reality is so much more kind.
In my quest to find peace within (what I then thought was chaos) of my own life, I stumbled upon the book Loving What Is. By applying the principles I’ve learned from The Work I have found inner peace, freedom from my stressful thoughts, continued clarity, forgiveness, love and happiness. I want to spread the joy that I have found through self-inquiry with others in their own journey to find peace and happiness.
I specialize in working with women working through their stories with abuse, self-acceptance and parenting.
I have been practicing and facilitating The Work since 1997. I owned a natural foods store before I became the owner/director of a yoga center where I began facilitating groups in The Work. I attended Bryon Katie’s School for The Work in 1999 and have staffed several schools as well.
The Work is the most simple and powerful way I have found to discover my inner wisdom and live a peaceful and happy life. I am grateful for the opportunity to see my clients and myself transform our lives with this amazing process which enables us to go in and find our own insights.
I am available to work with individuals, couples, families and groups.

‘Suffering as optional’ – a quote that sounded too good to be true to me! But now after doing The Work for about three years, I not only believe it’s possible, I experience it on a regular basis. ‘The Work” of Byron Katie has changed my life, from of insecurity, paranoia, anger, and depression to one of lightheartedness, peace, and happiness.
And, it’s just a beginning. The change feels truly miraculous. It is my privilege to offer this simple tool to others, and watch as they begin to experience the end of suffering also.
I discovered The Work with Kathryn a little over five years ago, and was astonished at the possibility of questioning my own thoughts. I had always questioned things outside of me, never something within. This journey of practicing The Work of Byron Katie has taken me from a place of pretending life was good and trying to be spiritual, to responding to my fears and insecurities from a place of kindness and an ability to see love is the root of every relationship. Every act is one of love helping me to know myself better.
Practicing The Work was such a life-changing experience for me that I’ve become a certified Clarity Coach so that I can share this simple technique and help others learn how to do it for themselves.
Hi! I’m Rebecca Overson.
I have been involved in self-awareness, healing arts, coaching and transformational education for 13 years. I first discovered The Work in 2005 after reading Loving What Is. I understood The Work intellectually but wanted a deeper experience of it and contacted Kathryn Dixon, founder of Clarity Coaching for a personal experience of The Work with a a facilitator. I have never gotten over that session – it changed my life forever. The Work helped me find my way out of my own pain, and it is my privilege to share it with others.
I specialize in Relationship Coaching, working with couples in crisis or individuals desiring to heal the hurts that others seem to have caused them – romantically, professionally, or in families.
I was very fortunate to come across The Work of Byron Katie at a time in my life that I felt completely trapped with conditioned thought patterns that left me feeling depressed and hopeless. After exploring the various stories I had in my subconscious mind, the resulting liberation from old beliefs about others and myself left me able to come from my authentic self based in love. The awareness of the gift others have really given me vs. the offense I held over them has freed my energy up to the point where I feel like I’m living my life fully rather than existing and enduring painful circumstances. The Work of Byron Katie has been one of the greatest gifts of my life and I’m honored to share it with others in the same way it was shared with me.
